Bricking the job centre I turned the corner and heard a crash. A man had thrown a rock at the window of the job centre. He continued to the next, and then two more, throwing with enough force at each one to shatter it and punch a hole. I quickened my pace and passed him on the other side of the road. He then ran off, clearly not bothered that he’d been seen by me and another man. Relieved...

My experiments with picture sites
Since making my gallery of photos of 119 Farringdon Road, I have done a some experimenting wiht Flickr, Picasa and MobileMe. I like Picasa and MobileMe best. Flickr I found least intuitive for editing galleries, and their slideshows, though great on a webpage - depend on flash, which doesn’t play well (at all actually) on the iPhone. Mobile needs illustration
…What I really mean is it would lead to a much poorer world if the steady move of print media to internet, on desktops and mobile devices, were to leave illustration behind. Editorial illustration often brings further insightsto the readers of magazines and newspapers which use it well. I hope we can find ways to integrate illustration into the the web
