Burning Ember

I popped in to the fire station in Clerkenwell, on one of those dad-inspired-by-small-child missions . . and we saw a solitary firetruck, out of which stepped a fireman who apologetically told me that he was not from this station, but from Kingsland, so would let us see what was in the engines lockers...

Guardian design night in Shoreditch
It was tough finding a cab in the end, and the one waiting for A. Rusbridger wouldn’t budge for Liz, who needed to get the 00.17 from Waterloo, but only because Alan’s place was on the cabbies way home.
